I’m an avid reader…somewhat, but I can never find a good non-fictional narrative of sorts. Since I’m looking to all avenues of motivation and strategy-based health and fitness, I am in search of some good reads.
The couple of books that I’m considering are similar to the following:
"Thin For Life: 10 Keys to Success from People Who Have Lost Weight and Kept it Off" by Anne Fletcher (who is a dietitian) is about a group of people whose eating and lifestyle behaviors were observed over a period of years. "
"Secrets of a Former Fat Girl" by Lisa Delaney is about a woman who was overweight most of her life until the age of 25. She went from a size 16 to a 2 and she shares her struggles and her turning point.
(Altho, like many of us here my situation is the reverse)
Anyone reading something similar? Or other literature you care to share?
I love cardio, but I can’t run; I love to dance, but not in front of the mirror; I don't do fad diets, but I will try something with boundaries; and I’ve never been severely obese, so I don’t need…well, whatever it is that I would need for that. Mostly I need motivation and as one insightful member put it, I need to focus on the Process and not on the Result (great insight!).
Thx,
