Which of these is the more awesome show????!!?!? I myself think that How I met you mother is much funnier!!:bigsmile:

    While I love Friends, HIMYM is....legen...wait for it....dary!! ;)Friends is funny, quirky and heart warming,. HIMYM is snarky, humourous and relevant.

    I LOVE both of them!! I watch HIMYM more because it's new, but I'll toally watch reruns of Friends when they're on too!

    I think it's all about timing. Friends WAS the it show for it's time. It did push some boundaries about friendship and relationships. HIMYM is definitely better for this decade, so I call a draw on that one

    FRIENDS!!! Classic. I have seen a few episodes of HIMYM, but they don't get it on Hulu, so I stopped watching. Not worth it for me to search it out. Friends though, I own all 10 seasons of. =)

    I love both of them!!

    Its nice to have a show to watch that's funny and current though. I'm kindof hating the writers for the last episode of HIMYM though. The verdict will be out until we see if / how they resolve the situation. They better!!

    They are both similar just almost 20 years apart so more smuttyness, ha ha! Since I feel they are virtually the same just from different decades I can't choose but I will admit to still watching Friends reruns till the cow's come home!

    HIMYM characters are older, 32 which is nice now that I'm creeping up in age, 28 a month away from being 29. Friends only got to 31 at the end of their 10th or was it 11th year which is odd since one of the first episodes was them looking at that photo of the Geller grandma of “the gang at Java Joe's” and she was 26. same age as them at the time as per Monica.

    Hubby doesn’t like HIMYM but finds value in friends, it’s too “all over the place, inconsistent”. It may also be b/c it conflicts with Golf Chanel shows on, LOL!

    I think both are hilarious, but Friends is classic. I can watch Friends over and over and over and find each episode just as awesome as the first time I watched it. As great as How I Met Your Mother is, I don't like re-watching episodes.

    I will always be a Friends fanatic....that show opened the door for shows like HIMYM...and sometimes I don't always find HIMYM funny...I always laugh at Friends <3

    I agree with this. I love both shows, and I think HIMYM is the closest this decade will get to Friends. But you can relate everything in life to an episode of Friends, and if you make me choose only one to watch, I'm picking Friends.

    I enjoyed Friends in its day but it got repetitive and i didnt even watch the last season or two. HIMYM continues to be very funny and i think its the better show.

    HIMYM has just sooooo much more material than some dorks hanging out at a coffee shop.
