Roll Up Dog Gate

Growing up, my dad built a little flexible "fence" with 12 inch posts (that were shaped like picket fence posts) and some chicken wire, that we could roll up when we weren't using it, and when we needed it, we could roll it out around the Christmas tree to make a cute (but functional) barrier to keep our dogs away from the tree.

Anybody know where I could buy one of these? Me and my husband aren't really creative enough to make one, lol.

yeah, kinda.....but you could roll it up, and it was really cute, bc it looked like a picket fence, lol. Someone should see this and offer to make us some!

Look at Lowes or Home Depot. I bet they have what you are looking for. Look at lawn and garden for edging. I believe that it is wood but you could paint it and connect a few together.

Is your dad still around? If so, ask him how he did it. He may be able to help you guys do it. If he's not, I'm sorry. :frown: I guess you would have to go with an already made gate thing... etiher from the kids department of the store or maybe the pet department. Sorry. I'm not any help on this one...

Yeah, Jack and I were talking about it this morning, because I was asking him about rigging the tree skirt somehow. It just hooks together by velcro, and every dang night I come home, it is halfway across the living room! He was talking about putting an electric collar on the cats that zaps that every time they get near the tree. So there is his suggestion ;-) I told him our cats were already psycho enough :-)
