Kids and Treadmills

Help me please! I just purchased a treadmill and am now kicking myself wondering if it was really a good investment. Proble, is I have a two year old and am worried as soon as I start using the treadmill in the common living space he is going to want to try and climb on with me. There is really no other place that I can put it without a) freezing or b) not being able to use it when I am home with him by myself because I won't be able to see him.

    Can you unplug it when you are not using it? Or cover it with a blanket?

    I absolutly can, the problem is not with that but with him wanting to try and climb on with me when I am using it.
