    1. Steel Cut Oats a.k.a. Irish Oatmeal (they take longer to cook, but they are really good for you)
    2. Frozen Berries
    3. Nuts: Almonds, Walnuts, Pecans, Cashews. Raw is good, or roasted but unsalted.

I only have two things that I buy every week - muesli and almond milk. It is the only breakfast that works for me. It tastes good, is filling, and unlike every other cereal and oatmeal out there... I have never binged on it or even been tempted to.
  • Large flake or steel cut oatmeal (not the quick cooking)
    whole raw almonds
chicken, fish or lean red meat
    fruits and veggies
    skim milk and greek yogurt
    multigrain unsalted rice cakes
    natural peanut butter
    eggs and egg whites
    salsa

Sorry...couldn't limit it to five! I try to shop the perimeter of the grocery store and stay out of the aisles as much as possible. I do have to slip into the aisles to pick up the peanut butter/rice cakes and salsa though. Tosca Rena's Clean eating works...the trick is to stick to it! Sometimes I am on and sometimes I am so not...

All the best! You're off to a good start. I need to clean out my cupboards again especially with Christmas approaching and donating it is a great way to do it!
