How come it's so hard to find pictures of not totally wacko hairstyles?

I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow and can't find anything I like! :noway:

Use google (but select images instead of web in the top left hand corner) and type key words like 'medium length hairstyle'. :)

I found out it works better if I let the professionals decide i.e. the person cutting my hair.....I just pick an approximate length.

Agreed. They know what they're doing, and will choose a style that flatters your face and hair type. :flowerforyou:

I always tell my stylist that he doesn't tell me how to do my job, so I won't tell him how to do his. I go to him because he knows what he's doing

Yeah, I love my stylist, but he's still a student. Granted, he's really good, but I did want to bring in a picture... :grumble: Oh well, I'm sure he'll do a great job!

I've always had horrible experiences telling a stylist to do what they feel is best. :frown: I would never go into a hair appointment without a picture of what I'd like.

    Anyway, that's just me.

The last time I told a stylist to cut my hair the way she thought it would look the best, I absolutely hated it! It looked like a hatchet job! I'll never make that mistake again. :noway: Needless to say I never went back to that shop. Now I have a stylist I love. I showed her a pic and she did a great job. For me it was really hard to find someone who knows what they're doing. My stylist isn't afraid to give her opinion. She's a keeper.

I wholeheartedly agree!! I think if you can stick to one stylist and they get to know you and you begin to trust them then I say do whatever you want sometimes. Because quite frankly sometimes I'm not sure what I want, I just know I want it shorter or the length left etc.

Sorry I'm not much help in helping your find the non-bizzare cuts, as when I'm waiting for a few moments to get mine cut I'll flip through the hair mags they have and WHOA, scary stuff!

I did a survey of 3 different women hairstylists.
I told each one I wanted to cut my long hair into a new style, and what would they suggest.

The first one said I should cut my hair shoulder length in a bob style, and keep it all one length

The second told me to just cut the bangs in a fringy style and keep the rest the same

The third told me to color it darker and get it above my ears, away from my face.

What each one described to me was exactly THEIR hair style!!

    So............ I bring a picture

(then there was the time I told her a Dorothy Hamill the figure skater, and she had NO idea what I was talking about and cut my hair like a boys!!)
