extra membership or extra fuel?

Atm, I am going to the gym which is like 10km's away from me.

Next year I have been accepted to do my PT's course which has the gym at the school incorporated into the price.

The school is like a 20km drive, would I be better off paying the extra membership for $12 per week or driving to the gym at school (petrol is $1.50/L)? I'm also only doing school part time so two days per week.
I usually go to the gym 6 times per week, I'm obsessed lol.
Plus the one I go to atm does not have classes, but the one at the school does.
The opening hours for gym at school are
* Monday - 6.00am-8.00pm
* Tuesday - 6.00am-8.00pm
* Wednesday - 6.00am-8.00pm
* Thursday - 6.00am-8.00pm
* Friday - 8.30am-7.30pm
* Saturday - 8.00am - 5.00pm
* Sunday - 8.00am - 4.00pm
but the other one is 24/7.

I also have workout dvd's at home, light weights, a exercise bike and am able to run on the footpath if need be.

Please help me with my decision.

    Which do you think you'd use more? Are the classes a big selling point? If you go mostly before/after class the fuel isn't an issue. If it were my decision to make, I'd make a list of pros and cons for each gym. But I'm a dork like that. ..:wink:

    Can you try both for a couple of weeks? See if you actually will drive to school on days that you don't have classes? I know I wouldn't!!

    Hmm well the petrol won't cost you $12 a week... but will you actually go to the gym if it's further away? I know that I probably wouldn't - but that's because my gym is walking distance from my house and if I actually had to get in my car I would never go. You're already getting in the car to go to your current gym so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to drive twice the distance...

    Classes are wonderful. If you've never done one, I would suggest it because having others there to help you along is great.

    I live in the states, but my gym is about the same distance. 24km. I think it's worth it. Walking would be nice, but you gotta do what you gotta do. :)
