New friends - Yoga or Dance Fans?

Hi!

I'm not new here but I was away for some months and came back. This time to stay.

I would like to have some new friends as the support provided to and from people here in MFP is priceless. I would especially love to have new pals that share the same love and dedication I have to dancing and yoga.

I have learnt ballroom latin dances for 2 years (2007-2009) and last 1.5 year I practise and dance salsa. I couldn't live without dancing!

Also, last year I took some classes of Hatha yoga at a studio and loved it. Gave up because the working hours got longer and I could not make it to the class on time. However I kept on practising at home and last weeks I have jumped into Power and Ashtanga yoga which I adore!

    Hi! I dated a Yogi in college and well...became a bit of a yoga enthusiast myself. My gym holds classes at 6:30AM each day, so I've been attending them steadily for the greater part of a year now. I love it, really helps increase agility and circulation, not to mention...It's great for sculpting aesthetics.

    Anyway, just wanted to show my support for a great activity!

    Welcome back! Ido youga three times a week and dance my butt off a few times too to burn the weight off! They are really the only exercise I stick with in the long term :) Feel free to add me!

    I'm not a yoga fan but I'm a performing arts teacher, with dance being my main passion. Love it.

    I don't get to do too much formal dancing myself any more - just attend a couple of classes a week at the gym. Great fun though.

    I do ballroom and latin classes, I've danced since I was 3 or 4 and recently arrived in a new place where I can take classes again for the first time in 7 years. It has made me so happy! I don't know how I survived without my dancing so I totally understand you :) We are going out of town from Saturday so I'm hoping to get to a couple classes tonight just because I'll miss my regular class while i'm gone. tonight is a Rueda double!

    It would be great to get to know you and follow this journey together :)

    Couldn't agree more!

    I have tried other types of exercise but the ones I have really stick to are dancing and yoga. Swimming as well but I do not have enough time for that now since I spent almost 13hrs for work per day! :)

    Aaaah, Zumbaaaa! I just started last week, I have the DVDs and I did Cardio party twice, I loved it!

    I absolutely love dancing!

    I used to do ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and a little bit of ballroom - until I hurt my back and had to stop.
    I would love to go back, but lack of time and funds is an issue :(

    Hi! I've also been on MFP for awhile, but just decided that this 'community' thing could be nice :P

    I love to dance! When I was younger I did jazz/tapp/ballet/pointe/contemporary etc. competitively (no ballroom though...not yet), but I quit for almost 15 years, and only just got back into ballet and contemporary. I'm SO happy to be back!

    Yoga is great too, but with my new crazy dance schedule I'm not able to go more than once a week at the most.

    I dance ballroom, Latin and Swing on a regular basis and have been for over 17 years. Dancing is my best friend and loyal companion. It has gotten me through some tough times and it has never let me down. I danced as a young girl and then gave it up when I got married and had a family. I took up the ballroom about 18 years ago and I have never looked back. I love to dance!
