Weight Problem

My weight changes each week and I hasn't lost any. One week I'll loose 2 pounds, then when I see how much I weigh the next week, I'll have gained it back. The weight keeps doing that: loose 2, gain 2. So I'm not really accomplishing anything. Anyone else have this problem? And what can help keep it off?

When you only have 10 lbs to lose it is a VERY slow process. Your bodyweight naturally fluctuates (it can fluctuate up to 5 lbs in a single day!!) Be patient. Are you also tracking your progress with measurements?0

Everything that you are doing to try to lose weight is good for you so you are accomplishing something. I share your frustration on the failure to lose weight as I am in the same boat, but lets not give up. I wish I only had 10 pounds to lose. Have faith and keep trying.
I don't mind being over the hill, I just don't want to roll down the other side!0 -
I am having the same problem. The only thing I can think is that I am not being strick with recording everything that goes into my mouth. I too have fluctuated back and forth. Gain a pound lose the pound, etc. I think when it comes down to the last 10 to 15 pounds you really have to be careful to stay focused and record everything that goes into your mouth.
HANG IN THERE! I AM NOT GIVING UP! I am going to try really hard these next couple of weeks to log in and record everything that I put into my mouth. I am hoping that by Mar. 1st I will see the scale go down 3 pounds and stay down 3 pounds. I want to start teetering(sp) around a smaller lose/gain number.
GOODLUCK AND STAY STRONG AND FOCUSED! It takes determination to get it off.....0 -
Kerrilucko is right one. The less weight you have to lose, it will come off extremely slow. When I started here, I had 130 pounds to lose. It just fell off the first couple months. Now, I am close to having lost 100 pounds and the weight loss has really slowed down to a crawl. But I am not discouraged, because I know I am eating so much better than I used to and working out every day and I am the healthiest I have ever been! So, if I only lose 1/2 a pound or not even anything for a week, I will be okay because I know it will come off, just have to be patient....
Good luck!!:flowerforyou:0 -
My weight fluctuates (hope that's spelled right) all the time. I focus on the weight I've lost not what I gain here and there and I keep trying. It's discouraging at times but you can do it. We have to believe in ourselves, that's been the hardest part of this journey for me!!! Stay strong!

agreed completely. i can only afford to loose about ten pounds and its taking a long time. But for the time being i'd like to think of it as healthy eating and becoming healthy rather than loosing weight. Your doing your body great service eating healthy even if you are loosing and gaining like crazy.0 -
I can so relate to this..........I'm in the same boat. It is very discouraging not to mention frustrating:noway: . But check your measurements you'll probably see a difference there and note the way your clothes are fitting just that little bit less snug feeling. Despite not seeing the scale move you are still definitely benefitting from your disciplilne. Don't give up we can keep encouraging each other. That is what is great about the support of others on this site.:flowerforyou:0

I stagger my calories, meaning that I go over my daily intake on some days and under on others. It works for me!0
