I know NOTHING about tablets, but my husband wants one for Christmas. Planning to find one and get at a Black Friday sale, and I've got in the budget $70. Is this too low, or could I find one for that? If so, which "kind"?

Unfortunately, I think $70 is way too low for something that is really usable. If you are looking to go on the cheaper end, the Kindle Fire or the new Nook tablet might be good Android tablet options. Check out AndroidCentral.com for other research info.

Damn, I was afraid of that....I've heard the Kindle Fire is good, but for $199. I'll see what I can save! :)

Be careful about what you get though. If you find a "value" tablet for under $100, you may end up with something really underpowered to cheaply built, so that its almost unusable.
