Hi there. I'm new to this site. I really wanna lose weight and change my life style... but it's kind of a daunting task. I've tried losing weight 100+ times. I struggle with binging (occasionally) and it ALWAYS sets me back. I just want things to change and I'm hoping I can finally do something different that works. If you relate or wanna be my friend, feel free to add me. Sorry for the gloomy message. ha!

Welcome! I am Danielle.
I think that most of us have been where you sit now. I have been a member of MFP for a while now and I go on weeks where I do bad and then go back to with a punch! I am dedicated now though to staying on track!
I will add you so we can help one another become acountable!!

I can most definitely relate. It's really hard, but you can let it get you down. You just have to start fresh after one of those days. I do find that using this site really helps because when i do binge, i can really see exactly what I ate. It helps to make me think about before I do. Any way I think you can overcome with some support. I will friend request you.0

Hi,
You CAN do this.
Set yourself little goals of, say 10lbs, and promise yourself you'll buy yourself a treat when you hit that goal. A bigger goal seems very daunting, so cut it down, and have a party when you hit each goal.
Good luck0 -
When I first joined the site I actually gained 4lbs in the first month. I cried it was so frustrating. But back then I was only logging. I started doing the challenges and being active within the groups this month and I am down 6lbs. I know that I have a ways to go but everyday I find a story or a motivating post that helps. And when I have my not so good days I always get words of encouragement from people who have experienced it too. So I say stick with it keep your head up and don't be afraid to lean on us for help and motivation.0

Hi! Welcome to MFP! I've only been on the site for a week but, honestly, it really does help. I have over 100lbs to lose and I hear you, it's a daunting task but you can do it!! Feel free to friend request me.
Agree with englishjen, set small goals and it won't seem so difficult. Celebrate every loss and try not to get discouraged if you get off track, everybody has bad days. We're all here to help:happy:0 -
@lil_longhorn is right - it makes you think when you realize that the ginger nut biscuit you have in your hand, which will last about 6 seconds contains over 100 calories.0

I can relate so much! For years I wanted to loose weight, yes I sat on the couch and ate whatever, whenever but I wanted to loose weight.. See my story! For me I took my time I didn't jump into weightloss, workouts or diets like some people. Some loss lots of weight over months me I lost lots of weight over years. I first changed my mind, then I slowly stopped drinking soda, then I slowly stopped eating certain things. Each thing I gave up, I gave my body time to adjust to the changes. I added in light workouts once a week then slowly increased. Know I'm at my weight goal, yes almost 4 years later but the changes were easier for me to handle this way.
I will add you and I hope I can help you with the motivation and support that you need. Good luck on your journey!0 -
