what size am I?

ok.. I lost one and half stone (21lbs) but loads of inches 12" off abdomen and 8 " off waist.. bra size down from 40DD to 38B. I used to get L or XL.. around size 20 in tops and bottoms (UK sizes)

So other day I got a cheap GAP jumper off ebay in a Medium thinking I maybe able to fit in it now or in a few weeks, it arrived and its miles too big! .. so wondering if its meant to be a man's jumper as the sleeves are so long and its long in body..

I had size 14 jog pants and I still find them a little tight, I also have a 14 zipped hoodie which doesn't quite fit yet, so I can't understand why Medium would be so big on me.

Would a Medium be an 18-20 at GAP? I was thinking it would be like 16-18? .. hoping to get chance to go shopping next week, but in case it gets cancelled I still have to find an outfit for xmas day which I'd have to buy online.. I got no idea what size I should go for now as I seem to be inbetween sizes?

I love NEXT clothes anyone got any ideas what their sizes are like?

A lot of places, if you call in and give them your measurements will help you pick a size.

sizes change LOADS between shops... i am anything between an 8 and a 12 depending on the shop & style of my trousers!

but your jumper does sound like a mens medium!

Which shops tend to be generous and which a smaller fit? Out of shops like NEXT, M&S, BHS, Levi's jeans? Would I fit in a ladies fit. I'm currently 32" waist but was hoping to get down to 30".

I can't answer your questions about the confusing sizes, perhaps call the customer service people? But I wanted to say way to go, NSV on the fitting and the overall losses!!
