Eating higher calories some days, and lower calories other days, focusing on the average calories eaten for the week as a "target."

It has no special benefits over eating the same amount everyday, unless you just prefer to eat that way.
  • I used freediet.com. Just enter your info and it will calulate your zig-zag cals. ( P.S. you can do different kinds of zig-zags ex: extreme loss or loss) hope this helps:)

just some info on it. Most ppl do it to an extent without trying. its really hard to eat 1300 on dot. but i try at least 50 cal shifts. I only half pay attention but it did knock me out of my plateau last year. a 6 month one.

I used it the whole time I was losing weight. It worked out well. You have some high days and some low days, but your weekly average is still the same.
