Jump! Wait, I mean eat it!0
-
Can you make it one more week?0
-
Why bother...save it for another day and plan it in to your calories!0
-
Don't do it. You have come so far. I suggest a treat maybe not a full meal?
Good luck0 -
I used to have cheat meals and they hindered my progress. Now, I fit moderate amounts of foods I enjoy into my calorie goal for the day.0

Don't do it!!! One meal will lead to two.0

I always tell myself to wait until tomorrow. By the next day I usually don't want to anymore. Stay strong! X0

Cheat away!0

save it for thanksgiving dude. though i personally will be behaving, the rest of mfp will be celebrating with you doll. or did you want a pep talk to eat? do it do it? lol. jk.0

you always should have a cheat meal but not too close together... so, if its been a while i say go for it and then tell me how good it is b/c i am waiting for my cheat next thursday, thanksgiving cheats are the best : )0

why do you "need" this cheat meal? You've been doing great. Just because everyone else is doing it, doesn't mean that you "need" it. Do you want to feel the guilt and shame that everyone seems to have on Monday when they report back on their horrible weekend?

Put the fork down, Soldier!!!! Now!0

*slowly steps back from the ledge* gonna grab a clif bar and see what happens...0

I allow one cheat meal a week. Not a cheat day ... but a cheat meal. I have lost over 20 lbs since October 3rd. Why can't you have 1 cheat meal?0
-
You only have 8 pounds to lose total and you're a guy so you probably have like a gazillion calorie allotment, anyway. You can skip the cheat meal. If I can only have one every 20 pounds, you can get to the finish line without one.0

DO EIT!
Seriously, i had a whole cheat day yesterday and the scale went down this morning. It's not always a bad idea.0 -
eat it so you dont binge like a madman!!!0

very smart!0 -
Had myself a CHEAT MEAL! Took a week to rebound from it. Not worth it.0

I think cheat meals are just fine! And i you haven't had one in weeks...well, I guess you just have to decide if you want it now, or save it til Thanksgiving? That's my plan! I have been saving mine up so that Thanksgiving Day I get to not count calories!0
-
what's a "cheat meal" ? Think of it this way, you are only cheating yourself out of your own hard work!0

Another note, when I have had my cheat meal....I have still tried to make wise choices. For example, I don't eat an entire cheesecake and then wonder why I gained weight. Take my plan for Thanksgiving, I am exercising everyday up until Thanksgiving so that will be my rest day. I am also planning to fill my plates (yes, I have 3 dinners to attend that day) with as much salad as possible....next load on the veggies, and then have very small portions of the rest.0

Scratching my head at some of the answers in this thread. By the logic of some of these posters, a fat unhealthy person can magically undo all their hard work getting fat by having a single "healthy meal".
smh0 -
Unfortunately Thursdays are not a rest day for me!:sad:0

How are you defining cheat meal first of all?0

smh
not everyone that has a cheat meal regrets it.0 -
/pushes OP off the ledge just to see how high the bounce is0

I'm confused as to what the problem is...and what exactly is your "cheat meal" of choice?0
