Hi Everyone!

Okay, I need help! I have been eating right and exercising now for 6 weeks. I have lost a total of 26 lbs and 9 inches. I am very happy about how well I have done so far. Then this week when I weighed in I gained 1lb!!! I am totally stunned! I eat between 1200-1400 calories a day plus I exercise in the morning and evening burning around 1000 calories. The progress tracker said I had a deficit for the week of 8000 calories so why would I gain and not loose? I am extremely confused and frustrated! Could it be I'm not eating enough calories and my body thinks it starving? Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.
I need to lose 60lbs to get to a healthy weight and look good for my husbands surprise party this summer (August)....Thanks guys!

These two threads will help you immensely. You are doing awesome work. Keep it up. Keep your profile/goals current too, so you are getting the right amount of calories recommended by the site.

It could be that you're not eating enough...actually I'm in the same situation so I'm waiting to see what folks say!

Sounds like you are doing FANTASTIC so far! Seriously, all those pounds and inches already--you are well on your way!! I know how rough it can be to be "following the plan" only to feel like your body betrayed you. But think about it....this plan has already really been working for you, and it is only one week, so I don't think it is time to switch things up just yet. Give it at least another week before you start tweeking things (unless you know of something right now that needs to be corrected). Sometimes it just takes time for your body to readjust to the changes, and trust me, after losing so much so fast it is only normal that your body wants to catch it's breath, so to speak.

Don't let the frustration get you thinking negative thoughts. Keep positive and expect that things will be better at the next weigh in. Keep measuring, sometimes that number moves for me when the scales don't budge. Keep it up!
  • Thank you so much for the support! Those were great sites! So true I think I'm in phase 2.
