Nursing and Exercise

I don't know of anyone else I can ask this to... so any feedback is appreciated.
Okay, I'm nursing my 8 month old... I started weaning, but only feed her solids once in the evening (thats all I can get her to eat for now). I HAD my calories set at 1550 at a sedentary level and have been adding an extra 300 for nursing. Just reset it (last night) to 1340 cal per day (mfp didn't auto update me for some reason)..w/ of course, the 300 extra per day.
I've been exercising as regularly as I can...toning exercises at home and cardio on an elliptical 2-4 times a week (burning 700-800 cal in an hour)... I usually eat back a lot of those calories (sometimes I have a 500 cal deficit)... I am by no means starving myself, a lot of times I'm not even under my calories. I drink PLENTY of water, but it seems like my milk production is low in the evenings. In the morning it's not so bad. I nursed my first child but she was eating more at this age and I also wasn't exercising regularly. I know that my milk production adjusts to meet the baby's needs and I have also heard that too much exercise can't affect milk production. I feel like I'm doing everything right... is it just a coincidence? Am I exercising too much? ( I really don't feel like I am.. it's not even every day)
