So to keep this from being as long as a wikipedia article i was 570 pounds when i started a couple months ago and am now 550. I am now in full swing on my diet and starting to ramp up exercise. I am hoping to be under 500 by years end and by this time next year be closer to 200 then 300. I've not been under 300 since probably a freshman in high school though i was way fat then too. I always have been and had come to the conclusion I always will be. However, I decided that i'm not going to die before i'm 35 or before I get to marry my beautiful g/f and am doing something about it. I am now going to a dietitian every week now who has me on a diet and exercise regimen and so far, it's really working. I lost 5 pounds this past week and i'm going to try to hit a double digit loss at least 2 times before years end.

Time that I take my life back. The same Dietitian said to come here and track my progress so here I am. Good luck to everyone and know that if I can do it, it can actually be done.

You deserve to be healthy. Good for you for realizing this. I wish you all the best of luck, and courage when you feel hopeless. Remember to not beat yourself up if you have a slip up and always find little things to remotivate you. Congrats on your first 20 pounds. That's a huge start!
