Slacking...

Hello everyone,
I've been using MFP for almost 6 months now and I'm so so so happy with my success. I've never been terribly overweight, but I've tried to become more healthy and possibly lose 10-ish pounds for the past 5-6 years. Nothing else has worked nor made me feel so accomplished since meeting my goal! Anyway, now that I'm almost at the 6 month mark, I've noticed myself slacking more often than in the beginning. Before, I was so motivated to stay under (or within 100 calories) of my daily limit and now I notice that I'll be more lenient with it and regret it afterwards. For example, usually during the week I do a great job with being healthy. Last night, though, my coworkers wanted to go out and get a little to eat and drink. Instead of just getting my own little thing like I might have before, I shared 3 unhealthy appetizers with everyone and went 900 over for the day. I know that it's not a big deal if it's just once in awhile, but I've just noticed myself doing that kind of thing more and more often.
Does anyone have any tips to get "back on track" or general advice? Thanks so much!

I think one of the biggest steps is realizing that you are doing it. If you remember how you felt when you were trying to get to your goal, and now that you are finally there...(yay for you!!!) maybe that will help you keep in it check. You nailed it too when you said its okay to do it once in a while. I would say once or twice a month, or even a small cheat day once a week is healthy. You know what you need to do. just do it!0

I agree 100% ... thanks for the help! I'm going to try to get back to my slightly stricter mindset :-)0
