Ok, so I have been on MPF for nearly a year, and I have been working really hard and have lost up to 50lbs, currently I am keeping between 37 and 47 off successfully. While this is fantastic, I would still like to work on toning and burning fat. I do a high protin diet - low carb four days a week and low fat all the time. I am wanting to loose another 20 lbs total, and want to " do more"

Currently my workout has been 5 days a week of cardio, three days of steady cardio with 3 days of HIIT and one day off - along with 45 min of weights along with abs. I always workout in the morning before work, simply because it works best for me. I was thinking of adding swimming to my regime on Mondays after work, for the resistance aspect of the training.

I was wondering what other people would think of this. Also, if others regualrly used swimming and how it helped them or developed there bodys. Any input would be appricated thanks

Plus, my stats _ 5'9" - HW - 200
LW - 135
CW- 160
GW- 140

I'd sub the swimming for the cardio sessions. Swimmers have great shapes but I hesitate to call it strength or resistance training. Call it cardio and if it has any resistance training, call it a bonus.

hi friend! from what i've seen on other forums, i'd up your strength training. sounds like your killin the cardio but your body might be getting comfy? what machines do you do for cardio? maybe switch to the ellip if you always do treadmill. If you always do ellip, maybe change to the bike for a couple. I'd definitely suggest swimming (it's one of my personal favs) as it's a little bit of cardio AND strength :) also, have you considered consulting with a personal trainer? maybe if you go for 1-2 sessions (to keep cost down) you'd be able to get an idea of how to get over a plateau?
