Anyone planning on doing any turkey trots on Thanksgiving Day? If so post here! When, where, distance etc.

I'm doing the North Shore Turkey Trot in Highland Park, IL http://www.northshoreturkeytrot.com/

The wife and I are doing the 10k race. Pretty excited about it as even though I've done 3 half marathons and handfulls of 5k's, this will only be my second 10k race!

Good luck to everyone who is signed up for a race! :)

DH and I are doing a 5k on T-giving in Toledo, Ohio. Probably followed by our annual tradition of breakfast at Waffle House, to undo all the good we just did.

I'm sorry, but I giggle whenever I hear/see/read the word "trots". I'm doing an 8K Turkey RUN Thanksgiving morning down in South Carolina. It's more of a fun run than a race since they don't have t-shirts or swag bags and the only entrance fee they require is a donation of canned goods. It's become a yearly tradition for my mom and me as this is our 3rd year doing it!

I'm doing a 3 mile "Run for Food" which benefits the local homeless shelter. It is the 5th or 6th annual, I'll volunteer at check in on Tuesday and do the run on Thursday! It's awesome and raises close to $50,000 to feed the hungry in our community.
