My weight loss is going great....down to 121...only 7 more pounds to go, but I am having trouble with losing inches in the waist area. Any suggestions on how to lose the inches?

lots and lots of core exercises....different types of sit ups and crunches - using both transverse and obilque ab muscles. I do kick boxing so a lot of twisting and use of the obliques - if you have light hand weights you can stand and use the to punch side to side while twisting your core - good use of all the muscles...if you google core exercises I am sure you can find a ton of different exercises

I did Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred for 30 days straight and lost 9 inches total, 4 in my waist. I recommend it because:
    1. It's inexpensive , about 9 bucks at Wal-Mart or Target
    2. No special equipment required. If you are working out on a hard surface you may want to get a mat. Hand weights are used, they are relatively inexpensive as well. Or, if all else fails, a couple cans of whatever you have in the pantry will work as a substitute.
    3. It isn't time consuming. From warmup to cool down is about 28 minutes.
    4. Works for any fitness level. Most exercises may be modified for different fitness levels.

Thanks, I work out 6 days a week, I will definitely add more core exercises and I have been thinking about trying kickboxing. (Now I definitely will)! I will also check out the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. Think a trip to Wal-Mart/Target is now on my agenda!
