Has dieting made anyone else extra sensitive/emotional about stuff? I feel like things that would not bother me before are annoying me now. I'm also taking offense to things way too easily! Anyone else having this problem and how are you overcoming it?

I was in the beginning...but then again I quit smoking at the same time I started doing this. I think it's just because we had food to turn to during emotional times and now not so much.

I find myself assuming that everyone is jealous of my weight loss... and they are.

Maybe you have just realized that you have value and are now able to honour your needs/likes/dislikes. Nobody else will do that for you.

Weight loss is a JOURNEY that is not only physical but emotional and spiritual if you will. To balance them all is a major task but once you are in the ZONE ...Life is good

Grumpiness and mood swings could be symptoms of a problem. If I am eating correctly, I find that the proper diet actually cures my mood swings. In the past, when I have tried diets that restricted my calories too much, my easy-going personality transformed into a moody, sensitive witch. So you might look at your calorie intake and see whether you're restricting it too much. You might also look into your macronutrient ratios and timing: when I limit my carbs and eat more protein, and make sure to spread out my calories throughout the day, that's when my moods level out and improve.

This just depends on your own personal metabolism; some people's bodies prefer different nutrient ratios than others. But if what you're doing is causing emotional problems for you, it won't be sustainable. Trial and error, listen to your body, and figure out what will work for you to lose weight but still keep you happy & healthy.

    Good luck!

    Ditto.
  • Only when I don't eat enough or I don't well. The exercise has actually helped a lot and fills me up with joy.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?!?!?! :explode:
No, I really haven't noticed, but I tend to do what the voices in my wife's head tell me to do.

I only get cranky when I don't eat enough or eat poorly. If I eat well and cook enough with good food, I feel better than I ever did eating junk food.
