Just signed up for my first Warrior Dash event!! Super excited! For those that have done one, how should I train? Mostly running? Holy crap, I'm so excited!

Mostly running if you want to be able to run the whole thing. Upper body strength doesn't hurt either, but if you're strong enough to climb a ladder you'll probably be OK. It's more fun than difficult. I did Warrior Dash this year and am signed up for next year's as well. Also did Rugged Maniac a couple weeks ago and have Tough Mudder coming up in January. You'll have fun!0

If you can run a 5k you can do WD. I did it last year it was a blast. Bring an extra pair of shoes and make sure you wear clothes that won't fall off when you're caked in mud.0

If you can run/walk any distance you'll be OK. The obstacles get pretty backed up, so there's lots of rest. Average time for the 3.5 mile warrior dash in seattle was over 50 minutes.
So, you need to get yourself ready a little bit in the upper body and core. But mostly, get your mind ready. Some of the obstacles are intimidating. You have to know you can do it.0 -
Good luck to you! I signed up for the commando run which is similar to WD. I have 134 days to prepare. I am excited too...and nervous! If u want to add me as friend we could prepare together...0
