I've only been here 3 weeks but it has been illuminating. As usual the scale is stuck but the exercising is paying off, jeans are getting really loose and I found a cool shirt in the back of my closet that I hadn't been able to wear in a really long time, fits better now than it did then.

    That's great work, well done :) I've yet to have a NSV but hoping to have one soon!
  • Congrats!

    It's annoying when the scale doesn't move but I think it feels even better when you can notice the difference in your body. It's always a great feeling when you fit into something you couldn't before

    NSV = Non-Scale Victory!

    Anything that makes you smile during your journey! Someone notices you look different. You now wear a smaller size or your current clothes are too loose. You have to make another notch in your belt. You can walk farther without being winded. Stairs don't scare you. The gym is now a place you like to go. You have more energy. You feel better. You can see your feet! You have a waist. These are some examples!

    oh and "bump" means to move the thread up or get it in your recent posts to find it again. ;)

    My NSV is a grocery shopping first! I went to Costco today. It's usually lethal to my diet, because as you may or may not know, EVERY Saturday, they offer samples of all sorts of foods. I never passed one up, unless I really didn't like the food. Today I ate only 1 square of their cheddar cheese and walked right by all of the others! YA ME!!

    Excellent Sue, since I'm gluten free Costco doesn't generally get me, but now they are using rice crackers, eek.

    Yea!! I have another NSV! Saturday AND today, I picked up my weights and did a light strength training workout. It's been years quite frankly, since I've done even a little.
