I just started here and I am very inspired by the amount of people who have really had big losses. I want to know why its working this time because i am assuming that this wasnt your first try.
This is what I am doing differently-
I am not buying" diet food". I want to learn to eat normally - thinking I can keep it up this way.
I started exercising 2 months ago and now am already in the habit ( and have already lost 4lbs)
I found you guys!
This is the first time I havent gone to weight watchers and counted points. I never have used calories as a goal. ( I like it)
I quit drinking diet coke one month ago so now i drink a ton of water and love la croix.
So thats me.... what about you?
Also, I would love some more friends. Please add me.

This is not my first time but it is my last. I have about 125 lbs to lose to get to a NORMAL weight. I refuse to say that I am dieting. I am changing my life one day at a time. I don't buy diet food either. I eat the same thing as I fix my family. I refuse to believe that I can not lose weight and keep it off. I will send you a friend request! :happy:0

this time I am following a diet plan and being monitored by a doctor and nutritionist.
this time I am exercising because it feels good and tires me out and helps me sleep better, not because it makes me lose weight. (I exercised 2x a week for 2 years, and lost only 5 pounds.)
this time I don't do cheat days
this time I throw away clothes that get too big for me0 -
I am tired of dieting, stop eating and then eating too much. So I told myself that this time I have to change my whole lifestyle and this website was recommented to me.
I won't eat portions for 2 just because food is left
I will listen to my "stomach" telling me I am hungry or full, not just eat because I am bored
I won't sit on the couch when I can go work out - not so easy sometimes
I will watch what I eat and drink - never really did that before
I exercise regulary and will try my hardest to not quit it again
So same as always, but different approacha healthier way...

Last time here too.. I've lost and re-gained so many times! Whats different? EVERYTHING! No diet! I eat what I want! I count calories!
What is different is really my whole attitude. I keep only healthy food in my house, my girls have grown and are gone away to college, so its SOOOO much easier now!
When we go out, I eat what I want, I'm not going to be crazy diet woman, or avoid social gatherings because I cant eat. I do not deprive myself anymore. I'm also a better planner now though, like if I know I'm going out, I change my eating during the day, so I can really enjoy going out.
The biggest thing that is different, EXERCISE.. Cant do this without it! Speeds up metabolism, tones your body, makes you look better even when you dont loose weight! I couldnt have done this without exercise..0 -
I'm with Kiawya, the complete difference this time is EXERCISE!! I've never done so much nor enjoyed it so much!0

This time I am learning how to eat properly. Still overeat sometimes, but it's usually really healthy. We joke its hard to binge on anything in our house cause its good for you. We eat whatever we want, but we are accountable and responsible to ourselves and our MFP friends. I started by logging everything and then after a bit it went from just counting calories to reconciling what I eat with how I feel and adjusting my food choices accordingly. We gave up Gluten because Endocrinologist said I was sensitive to it and that alone caused me to drop 11 lbs in a couple of weeks. We eat cleaner which for us means other than protein drinks and bars, salad dressing and gluten free bread and crackers we don't eat a lot of processed foods. For me most importantly is the accountabilty and the folks here. They are incredible and over and above helping me be honest and motivating me they have helped me regain my faith in humankind. Doing it with my wife (hootsmamma) helps as well. She is a rock and inspirational. Change one thing at a time and before you know it you've changed a bunch. I focus on the journey and don't sweat it if I don't hit my goals each week as long as I stick with it. I'm excercising regularly too. If you need support friend us. MFP is the best thing ever.0

This time is different because I'm sick of dieting and losing/gaining the same 20 pounds. We recently bought a house and I want to be healthy and active and enjoy living in our new community.
I've been making healthier choices all around - when we eat out, when i cook at home. Using less meat (our meat portions were waayyyy too big!) and more veggies. I still eat "junk" but the majority of the time i portion it out only eat one serving, some times even a half serving.
I just finished 30ds on the 15th and was trying to take a week off of exercise - it feels weird and i dont know if ill do the whole week.0 -
Definitely think that having my Husband (StevLL) and I doing this together makes it work and seem so much easier. We don't bring Junk in to the house--so there is nothing to "tempt" us to falter. StevLL is my biggest fan and cheers the loudest when I reach a goal or have an NSV. Plus the MFP friends we have made on this site are simply amazing! They help keep things honest and in perspective. I believe that "mind-set" makes all the difference this time. It's Not a Fad or a Diet we have taken on, but we have both committed to making a Life-style change and to change the relationship we have with food. This time--I know it will work ....It 's already working! Feel free to friend one or both of us if you like. Wishing you all the best and much success in your fitness/ new lifestyle quest!:flowerforyou:0
