I'm doing the 5K Turkey Trot, but I'm a walker not a runner. I did one 2 years ago and swore I would never do it again. It was horizontal rain, windy, and cold, cold, cold. I would have preferred snow. I was soaking wet when I got home. I have been checking the forecast and so far it looks okay.........................hoping!

I am doing a 10k. The proceeds go to our local schools. This will be my second year in a row. Good luck everyone.

A co-worker and his wife are doing it this Thursday; I'll be too busy running around doing errands for my mum.

I'm doing a marathon on Saturday... does that count? :)

I did a Turkey Trot 5K last year on Thanksgiving and it was a blast! The winners received pumpkin pies as their prizes.

No, it doesn't... only Turkey Trots. (completely kidding)

That's super exciting - I'm in the middle of training for my first marathon (race day this January 8!). Sounds like this may not be your first?

That's awesome! I was just in Tucson last month and got some beautiful (the scenery, not me) runs in at Sabino and Bear Canyons. Happy Trotting!

Nothin' wrong with a 5K... that's what I'm doing, too! Saving the long run for the weekend...

Sounds like fun (and hope the weather holds up for you... I grew up in Toronto, so I know what late November can be like in Buffalo!).

Yay! Have a great time... I bet you'll love it! I did my first Turkey Trot back in 2002 or so and it's become a tradition for me; just part of Thanksgiving Day. Happy Trotting!

Yup, you really never know! As of right now it's looking like it will be around 40 degrees and sunny, PERFECT! Hoping it stays that way!

Fingers crossed! I live in the Washington, DC area now, where it's going to be rainy all week, but clear up for Thursday, so my fingers are already crossed!

I am! I am! This is my first Turkey Trot, and I am super excited. And on the plus side the weather is supposed to be pretty nice.
