Am I obsessed?

I had a bowl of Kashi Go Lean cereal this morning for breakfast and then my husband and I ate at Arby's for lunch. Sooo for supper seeings how there had been absolutely NO veggies or fruit logged in my journal I thought I would slip some extras in supper. I added some celery, carrots and onion in my sloppy joes. My husband says he has NEVER had carrots in sloppy joes. Then I began to wonder if I was obsessed. Have you all ever tried to pull such tricks?

I don't think wanting to try new foods and/or add vegetables to a meal is obsessive.

Of course! Sometimes you have to be creative to create healthier meals. Very crafty of you :D

    Edit:
The "of course" was for the fact that I do the same thing. It's not obsessive, just a great way to be!

I have kids.. almost every vegetable they eat is hidden in the food, and then there is a serving on the plate. So even if they don't eat the serving on the plate they still get the nutrients but I don't want to not offer them something because that teaches them to make poor decisions later when I'm not around to sneak it in their food.

I don't think it's obsessive but if my wife ever slipped carrots into my sloppy joes I'd be like BISH? Whats duh f you think you doin puttin carrots all up in my Joes son?

No I don't think it's obsessive. But you could always eat them on the side and have normal, tasty sloppy Joes.

I don't think it's an obsession at all but if it is at least it's a healthy obsession :). Nothing wrong with adding veggies to your meals!

Edit: LOL @ Sidesteal! I'd say the same thing but only because I HATE carrots!

This is something I normally do. You might think it's obsessive since it's new to you. I thought I was obsessive for weighing my portions using a scale, but now that I do it with foods I'm unfamiliar with ONLY, it's part of my normal day and it doesn't seem as odd. Good for you for noticing you needed veggies and actively making a change to your dinner!

(P.S. Flamers/topic inflamers: don't flame this thread for people using the term "obsessed" like you did a thread earlier today.)

I think it was pretty creative to add carrots, sometimes we need to remember to think outside the box.
