Annoyed by Reporters on Thanksgiving
I hate the idea of lazy reporters who rely on tired cliches to tell their story.
This is the time of year when all the local tv stations feel the need to report on the free Thanksgiving meals given out by whatever organization...the church, the soup kitchen, the homeless shelter..which is all wonderful they can provide a meal to those in need.
What I hate is how the reporters feel the need to describe the meal as 'turkey..will ALL the trimmings".
What the hell are "all the trimmings"?
Aren't they different for different people?
Can't the reporter say "turkey with mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and stuffing"?
What do you define as 'the trimmings'?
