30 Day Shred: Am I Stopping Too Much?

Hello,
Pretty new to to these forums.
So I'm on about Day 5 of Level 2 of 30 Day Shred and I'm worried that my workout will be significantly effected by stopping too often. It's never for more than about five seconds -though if it's really getting to me I drink some water for a moment and continue. But I do usually have to stop momentarily during probably ever strength move. I never did get all the way through Level 1 without stopping at all -though it was MUCH easier. Maybe I'm totally over analyzing. I'm halfway through the 30DS and I've lost 2 inches on my waist and I feel good about that (perhaps mostly due to doing well at Level 1).
I do wonder, if a drill sergeant was physically right there yelling in my ear to push it- would I be able to? Or would I collapse? Am I wuss?
Plus I honestly can't do the military press without leaning back against a shelf because I have horrendous balance -I can't stand on one foot and lift weights at the same time even for one move (Runs in the family -a cop once accused my dad of being drunk at a pull over because he couldn't walk in a straight line stone cold sober. Breathalyzer proved him wrong. Hee).
Any advice from experienced Shredders would be much obliged... I mean I'D be obliged. Whatever.

    Hey There!
I still have to stop once in a while and I am at the end of my Level 2.
It's completely normal. One day you could not have any breaks and one day you could have 5 or six. It really depends.
I usually pop 30DS in my laptop and put something in TV to keep my attention. Somehow that tends to keep me focused from feeling like a wuss and wanting to stop.
There really is no secret as to how to stop taking breaks. Just keep working at it. You'll get there.
And the whole military press thing is difficult. But just doing what you're doing.
    Best of luck!

I stop a lot. And I need it. If I push myself to hard I could make myself sick!
Do not stress yourself out and make yourself sick working out. She said five seconds is enough, but sometimes it is not enough. I know I have gotten dizzy off of it before and needed to stop and take a breather, or modify the exercises a little more. As long as you are feeling the burn and enjoying it that is all that matters! You need to make sure you take care of yourself before you can worry about taking too many breaks!
Besides, you can pull out the part of the shred for as long as you want, no one says you can only do it for the 10 days a level.

i'm still one level 1. i stop everytime on certain exercises. i think it's normal. we're not jillian lol. i try not to do more than the 5 secs she says and if i do need to i press pause to try to make sure i'm getting in the full 20 mins of exercise. in addition to just being tired i need to drink alot of water for this video. i've been losing weight so i feel like it's working. probably would be better if i did it multiple times a week

Oh man, I do not stop unless I am totally and completely spent. I am pushing and pushing myself as hard as I can since it is only 20 mins.
You owe it to yourself to try your best so you can be in the shape and at the weight you are seeking.

I stopped for 5 sec or so every time I needed a drink (which was quite often). And there were many times I had to stop and hold a position in the strength parts, especially in lvl 3. I still felt like I got a good, full workout. It's not like you're taking a break, really, just grabbing a drink or your breath (and sometimes holding a position can be as much work as moving through it).

It's honestly pretty normal, especially if you're quite a bit out of shape, like myself.

When i first did 30DS, i couldn't do the most of the moves fully and I had to stop.
I did the 30 DS a second time around and i was much stronger and was able to do most of the moves completely and the advanced version.

Don't worry about being perfect, just give it all you've got and you will get stronger with time.

This is so encouraging, thanks everybody. And yeah, I'm very out of shape. My shape is lumpen. Sometimes I get pretty dizzy trying to go into a strength move from abs -eeps. On another 30DS thread I saw someone saying they focused on form in strength moves, and went a little more slowly. And when I have trouble with a certain cardio move, I just do high knees as hard as I can.
It's awfully satisfying though when a move is suddenly easier -I did my plank jacks pretty well tonight. And I'm getting better at walking push ups -I kinda like em'!
Also normal to scream obscenities at Jillian, right?
Thanks again for the encouragement. You guys are awesome.
