Losing inches but not weight

I understand that muscle weighs considerably more than fat. But I do not seem to be losing any weight at, I am fluctuating between 147 and 150. But I am a size 6 and almost to my goal of a 28 inch waist.
I am not looking to be ripped, just in shape with womanly softness but would like to get my weight down to at least 135-140. I am just fine with being a size 6 so not looking to lose another size just the weight, any suggestions?

Change up your routine! Try upping your calories for a few days and then going back to what you've been doing. It shocks your metabolism back into action. Additionally, doing the same workout every time allows your body to get used to it, meaning that you won't burn as much. Message me if you have any other questions!0

Your weight is just a number...I suggest you just focus on how you feel and look. If you are happy with your size and are where you want to be, don't worry so much about that number you have in your head. Its just a number!0

I know how we can get hung up on a number. Sometimes the two don't match. Maybe a 28 inch waist for you doesn't warrant the 135-140 pounds and the size 6 you are looking for. I thought my number was going to be something else when I first started out. Then along the way I have changed my final goal about 4 times! When I get to my final goal, I might even flux that a few pounds this way or that, to hone it for maintenance. See what fits my body and my metabolism.
I am glad someone else has a plan for you, thanks Shovav91!0 -

Again, weight is just a number. I wear more than I look - because that's me. Just because a book or website says you should be x weight for your height, doesn't mean its true.
Go by how you feel and look, rather than a number. It's not work stressing over, when you are obviously looking great!!!0 -

It does if you have a bucketfull of each ;-)0 -
Why do you care about your weight if you're almost at the size you claim you want to be at? This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. My current goal is a 36" waist. For a man my height that puts my waist to height ratio in the healthy range. I don't give a crap what I the scale says when I get there.0

I totally agree! I know I have a goal weight that I would like to be, but I get WAY more excited when I can see and feel changes than when I see changes on the scale. Sounds like you're doing great!0 -
Thank you for reminding me to ignore the scale. But boy is it hard since we've been trained as women to be obsessed with it.0

A lb is a lb, a pound of fat is the same as a pound of muscle. However muscle is more dense than fat, meaning fat takes up more room on our bodies then muscle. At least from what I understand.0
