Got Donuts for the kids this morning. The old me would have wolfed down 3 but no more! Just not looking at or smelling them. It can be tough with kids and beating of temptation for cookies, donuts, and cakes. Especially with the holidays upon us.

Umm... easy answer... don't buy donuts! Adopting a healthy lifestyle shouldn't just be for you, it should be for your entire family. They don't need to eat that crap either.

Go for something healthier... fruit trays, veggies.

I think there is room in a healthy weight-loss plan for all kinds of food. I've had a donut about once a week, every week since joining MFP in April. I've still lost about 40 pounds. (I've also watched my blood pressure go from borderline high to low enough that my doctor asked if I was having dizzy spells, my resting heartrate has slowed, my body fat percentage is way down and my blood chemistry for cholesterol and sugar-levels is great)

Most mornings, I eat oatmeal and fruit - but every Thursday I have a chocolate pastry from Panera and most weekends, I have a custard-filled donut from Wegman's on one of the mornings. I have also been known to eat pancakes and waffles. :-)
