i know there is at least one other person out there that uses supper solutions because there are entries in the database for several meals that i have not added (which i appreciate seeing).

do you go monthly or only when the menu looks good? what is your favorite meal from there? do you try to replicate the meals at home? have you gotten something from there that you would never make again?

i took the boys there yesterday to make 6 meals and ended up buying 6 additional meals from last month. suckered in. :) we go only when the menu has 8 or more items that appeal to us, so 3-4 times a year. normally, i am not a fan of buying the pre-assembled meals because if i like it, i don't know the ingredients and can't duplicate it.

our favorite supper from there was a garlic-lime-tequila-sliced-steak from several years ago. i haven't seen it in rotation for a long time and we miss it. i don't remember all the ingredients or measurements so i have never been able to reproduce it accurately. we also love the parmesan-crusted chicken. we have tried to make it at home, but their alfredo sauce is so rich and creamy. it tastes 'off' without it. another favorite is the taco soup. that one we make at home all the time. it is so easy to do ahead and stick in the freezer.

we have learned that we do not like their roasts. any of them. i think it is because of the cut of the meat. we prefer pork roasts for flavor and texture.

another thing i like is seeing the price per serving without having to do the math myself! it was expensive this month at $3.51 a serving, probably because of having to pay extra for the pre-assembly of last months meals. still, not too bad.

we just made the make-your-own calzones for lunch (mine is cheese, green peppers, mushrooms and extra sauce) and they are huge! eating half now and half for lunch tomorrow. i'd definitely order these again!
