So I was wondering when you guys buy aspragus by the bulk do you eat them all at once?
Or do you store them? if so how?
I heard they go bad pretty quickly, and I dont want to waste food.

thnx!

I steam it, and what we don't eat up, I throw on the dehydrator to store for later use.

I have blanched it and put in freezer bags and frozen. Push the air out after putting in freezer bag.

I store them upright in a couple inches of water - but usually cook them pretty quickly. My favorite is roasting them.

I store mine standing upright in a tupperware full of water. Just like I do my celery. It seems to make it last a lot longer.

just like in the store, standing up in water. but i eat a lot of it so i use it up fast. don't like it after it's been frozen. when i cook it, it's only for a short time. bbq is sooo yummy. I prolly buy asparagus 2-3 x a week. 2 bunches each time.
