Exercise and sodium intake

I'm always a bit concerned about my sodium intake. I dont have high blood pressure, or anything to really worry about there. I just don't want to over salt myself.
I'm usually getting a lot of exercise during the week and sweating a lot. Does sweating and exercise balance out if you go over on your sodium intake?
I know potassium is supposed to help counterbalance sodium a bit, but there are only so many bananas I can eat in a day.
