I realized today that this road didn't start yesterday it started years ago. I have been loosing weight since 2005-2006. Most of my weight loss was in 2008 and it has steadily been creeping up in 2009-2010 due to a shift in meds and I that is why I have stepped up my efforts again. so when I started, I started my lbs lost from my current weight when it shouldn't be. I am proud of what I have lost since this journey began and it is high time I celebrate that victory instead of fret over the hear and now!!! So since the beginning of this journey I have lost 93 lbs!
Do you know what started this all... I found a spreadsheet I had kept from 2005-2008 showing my weight and food intake. I never realized just how much weight I had lost. I could tell you how much I weighed but I never realized how much I have already lost.

You are so right, it didn't take a day to put the weight on, how can we expect it to come off fast? I know I want my to some off faster but I have to tell myself small steps are OK, this is a long journey. I need to lose 60-70 lbs and I know it will take me a year or so but I get so impaitent. I too lost 80 lbs in 2008-2009 but alot has come back. Now I just have to focus and get this done. Congratulations on your awesome job!!!!! You look great and should be so proud of yourself!0

Good for you for such a realization! You have done a great job, and keeping that weight off for so long means that it won't come back on. I have read over and over that people who go slow, or lose and maintain for a bit, then lose again - keep it off and are healthier overall.
So congratulations! You should be proud of yourself!0
