Wondering if anyone else has this issue. I have been noticing a ton of bruises since I started lifting hard. Both arms, ribs, legs, and etc all have bruises on them. I hoped out of the shower and looked in the mirror and it looks like I've been in a fight. Anyone else get weird phantom bruises? Seems like every day I find more as others go away. It's been going on for about 3-4 weeks now.

I do on both quads. No idea where they keep coming from.0

Both of my legs are covered in bruises! I have no idea why... I'd like to see what everyone else has to say.0

yes it happens to me on occasion.... I don't understand why it happens but then again I never looked into it. I get them mostly on my thighs when I do a hardcore lower body workout..0

I'll get some on occasion, mostly my neck from squats, some on my knees and lower quads from bar while deadlifting. Otherthan that, I've never gotten any on my ribs or arms unless I'm wrestling or sparing.0

There are vitamin and mineral deficiencies that can cause this. Also, if you're taking any supplements or foods that decrease your blood's ability to clot, you can bleed out of your capillaries and get bruises that way. I had a bad bout of bruising during/after a trip to Miami, maybe it was the alcohol (thins the blood) or some new foods I was eating..0

My husband has been noticing a lot of bruises on me... Good thing I cover up most of the time or my co-workers would be concerned!0

You gotta have a safety word bruh0 -
I kept getting a bruise in the same spot, from the same machine. I stopped using that one haha cause apparently I couldnt sit down without injuring myself
Plus I've started lifting weights, instead of doing the machines. I'm sure at some point I'll drop something on my toe or leg or something. I'm just graceful like that sometimes0 -
i think she beats you also.0

Agree with the above, you may want to get a full blood workup by your doc to make sure everything is ok. Phantom/easily bruised can be a sign of some underlying conditions.0 -
I bruise super easily from little knocks here and there. I find that eating a banana each day helps. Some other things to try are arnica (there's pills or cream) and prenatal vitamins.0

I bruised easily when I was anemic. Since I started working on MyFitnessPal, I lift weights, but don't have any bruising from it. I really think you need to see your doctor for a check-up. You don't want to miss something that may be serious, and you don't want your wife falsely accused of beating you. Your buddies will think you're a wimp.0
