You will get there! The only thing is to keep building up your endurance and strength. It hurts at first but keep in mind that you are doing it because you do not want to get so out of breath and heart pumping when you are running. I am still working on the same myself but even after a few weeks I am in so much better shape and can do exercise without feeling like the whole word is thumping and crashing around me0

well ive only just started exercising a month ago but i think thats pretty much all there is to it. Keep going and eventually it wont be as hard for you. I certainly have found things getting easier0

Start small and work your way up. Throw in some more cardio.0

When I do 5k, I walk until I am ready to run, then I run until I can't run any more. Then I repeat. I have been able to up the length and frequency of my running. I am up to a block! best wishes!0

Intervals. Walking and jogging intervals.
If still at the gym, see if they have a treadmill that has an interval option.
Or see if you watch does.
Set a walk pace, then set a decent jogging pace.
Notice the results of this study. And this was for already active people, they saw an improvement for endurance.

And then there is this multi-week program to to get 20 min steady jogging. I've adjusted the weeks to weight ranges instead, with the end point being close to desired weight I feel is safe for the joints.
