Increasing calories but going over protein goal

I'm struggling to reach my daily calorie goals without going over my protein goal.
Is it ok to be increasing calories through protein foods even though it goes over my protein goals when I'm trying not to eat too much carbs or fat? Will this hinder my weight loss?

MFP proteins macro is pretty low so don't worry about going over!0

too much protein is an insane amount
the upper limit of healthy protein is one gram per pound you weigh
So basically, no such thing as too much protein0 -
Embrace the protein! Live the protein! LOVE the protein!0

You can change the macros if you want to stop the scary red figures (Customise your Goals) but eating protein, especially if you're doing any kind of weight training, is no bad thing. Combined with the right carbs and fats there is absolutely no problem with eating lots of protein, and even the sugar counter I ignore, otheriwse two pieces of fruit and I'm over! Concentrate on eating 'healthy' food and hit the right calorie count, and the rest will be fine :flowerforyou:0

PS I have mine set to 40% carbs, 30% fat and 30% protein, on recommendation from some seriously good-at-this-stuff people ) x0

I aim to go over the protein amount when I can, for me, I consider it a bad thing if I'm under on protein0

40-30-30 is great!
MFP's protein is set WAY WAY too low.
I would be worried if someone was using the default and NOT hitting that target daily!0 -
Thanks everyone that will stop me worring, and a good head's up on the 40-30-30 I'll change my goals!

Don't worry too much about going over protein.. you're fine.
My trainer also has me set at 40/30/30 and I log between 100-160 grams of protein a day.. and so far no problems0
