Project Lose 40 by Age 40 - Success

As of yesterday, I finished the twelve weeks of the P90X/TurboFire Hybrid. Project 40 for 40 has been a success. I started on on May 22 at 221.5 pounds. As of Saturday November 19, I hit 180 lbs. That is 41.5 pounds in lost weight. That number is crazy to me. I did my Core Syn on Saturday morning and then hit a gold course with two neighbors. I was playing pretty poorly. On one tee, I gathered myself in Mountain Pose, put my hands into prayer and said Namaste. I took a nice swing and clobbered the heck out of the ball with my best drive of the day. I just missed the par putt. My one neighbor called it Buddha Mode.
It turns out, the golf game was just an elaborate ruse to get me out of the house. While I was golfing (and not having a great round), the wife and other neighbors were keeping busy. When I got home, I was told that our neighbor wanted to host a Game Night since she got a new table. Yes, the same table I carried in earlier in the week. It made sense to me since we have these random short notice parties in our 'hood.
When I walked in the door, there were balloons and a big Happy 40th Birthday banner hanging from the ceiling. I was caught completely by surprise. While I was out golfing, they decorated a house, put together a fajita bar and even baked a chocolate cake from scratch. It was a great time. I can figure anything out, but they caught me by surprise. It was the best birthday ever.
So, the 180 number will have to be reached again. Between golf and the party, any calorie limit was destroyed. I ate the rest of the cake as a snack yesterday. At least it is out of the house.
My next round of P90X starts next week. That should get me fully ready for P90X2.
Results from my two rounds:
Start on 5/22/11:
221.5 lbs
28% Body Fat
Finish on 11/19/11:
180 lbs
17% Body Fat
146,682 Calories Burned
Body Fat Percentage was determined using my Tanita scale. So the result might actually be higher than reality. I don't have calipers to do a true measurement. Pictures will come as soon as I have the time to take them.

Thanks for the support. This is a great feeling losing this weight. When I grab a forty pound dumbbell, it hits me. I've lost this amount of weight. It's just a neat feeling.0

I finally got around to getting my pictures hacked and slashed with Paint Shop Pro. Here you go. I still have a ways to go, but I like the results so far.
