If it makes her happy, then why not.

Her house, her money, her body, her life.0

That is fantastic! I would have done the same!0

Do what makes you happy! Obviously the house wasn't making her happy. I'm sure she figured when she was younger that at the age of 50 she'd be in an much better position. But after 2 failed marriages, she's desperately seeking happiness. What everyone should take from this story is to workout while losing weight and no quick fixes!0

I hope she can keep it off. So many who have had gastric surgery to quickly lose weight do not. It would be a shame to give up so much only to gain it back.0

Well put0 -
I was actually the most shocked at the disparaging comments left on the news website--I'd say this brave woman gave up a certain standard of living, but she still has a house and a happy outlook on life to boot. Good for her!0

its not as if shes been left homeless. Shes still got somewhere to live. The title makes it sound more outrageous and newsworthy than it actually is0

Her stomach looks amazing. I would love to have money for surgery after I lose the next 20 pounds!0
-
sounds like money well spent. it's not like she made her family homeless for the sake of GG boobs. she needed surgery to fix the aftermath of massive weight loss. good for her.0

There are usually quite a few disparaging remarks on this site too when people talk of having weight loss surgery, whether they are giving up a house or not.0 -
Although I don't believe anyone should be that obsessed with their physical appearance, I do understand that after all the weight loss to still look that bad would be heartbreaking. To look in the mirror and see an image you don't want, would be rough.
So do I blame her? Not at all! People buy homes, cars, tv's, jewelry etc.... to make themselves happy. How is this any different?
We don't criticize someone for going out and buying a new car that costs that much... It's their money, their life!0 -
