good shampoo and conditioner?

i live in the UK, soo all you Americans - i think your shampoo and conditoners maybe different from ours?

Anyway, ive been using herbal essences for the laat few months, and ive noticed its making my hair greasy extremely quickly! I normally wash my hair every other night, and with other shampoo's and conditioner i can go 3 days without washing my hair and its still not greasy, (i do still shower tho of course ;)) but with the herbal essences i washed my hair last night and blow dried it, i woke up this morning and it was greasy! It looked all wet and awful! And i only had 4 hours sleeep! =/ good job i wasnt going out the house today! Lol..

Sooo any good shampoo and conditioners i can buy please that will not make me hair greasy in a day!! Also it must have a gorgeous smell to it tooo ;D

Thanks x

purology products are great, especially for color treated hair. Expensive to buy, but you only use a dime sized bit.
  • I use Pantene. It's awesome.

    Hello,

had the same problem with the Herbal E stuff.

I use Aussie and Tresemme, I got coloured hair and never had problems like that again. I mix it up a bit so the hair doesn't get used to it. John Frieda is awesome too.

I know they are expensive but worth it and boots or superdrug always got offers on anyway :D

    Hope that helps.

Look for something natural or organic. It helps to look on the back to find either a picture of a bunny or a statement saying the company doesn't test on animals. Also look for products that don't use SLS (sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate). This chemical is highly toxic and can cause, among other things, hair loss!

I'm currently using Giovanni products, but I also like Yes to Carrots/Tomatoes/Cucumbers products, Alba, Collective Wellbeing, ShiKai, and some others I'm forgetting. Your best bet is to go to a health food store and check out their selection.

It just depends on what type of hair you have....My hair is naturally oily so I change up the type every couple of days so my hair doesnt get used to one type and I only use conditioner on the tips of my hair, unless I have been in the wind or a dirty area....Hope this helps a little!!!!!

Kerastase products! You can order online if you can't buy them in a salon there.
  • I love my head and shoulders! Could go for a change though. I also love using shampoo and conditioner from the aromatherapy collection at bath and body works...the mint kind!
  • If your hair is not long, you don't technically need conditioner. I only use shampoo on my roots/top of my head and I only use conditioner for my hair from my ears down. I used to get greasy hair until I started doing this (my hairdresser advised me of this), and I haven't had a problem since. My hair is past my shoulder blades, so there's a good bit of hair that gets conditioned.
