So I went to FL like I do every year and normally my mom and I play tennis and I run and we are very active. she buys the healthy foods I like and I normally come home 5 pounds lighter!
Well this year my sister, brother in law and 2 year old niece come too. Here's how the week went to wrong.
The weather in FL this week was freezing. Like in the 30's freezing. My mom broke her thumb and couldnt play tennis. The apt where my sister, BIL, niece and I stayed was stocked floor to ceiling with chips, cookies, cake, ice cream, frozen chicken nuggets, bagel dogs, candy bars, quesadillas...all for them of course but my lean cuisine didnt stand a chance next to a quesadilla, some salt and vinegar chips and oreos for dinner!!!
I ended up gaining 7.5 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!! being stuck indoors with all the food was too much for me, but I am home now and feel like I did before I left-motivated and ready to tackle the day.
anyway, wish me luck getting back to my pre-trip weight of 200lbs, hopefully in the next 2 weeks:)

Most of that gain is probably water. As long as you get back on track you will probably drop those pounds quick.

Good luck...I totally understand. I'm going to stay at my in-laws for a week soon, and I'm really worried! I've dropped a bunch of hints about how I'm eating healthy, but many times by mother-in-law doesn't use reduced fat anything! So, I'm hoping to work out a bunch to make up for it!

You'll lose your weight ASAP now that you're home...sorry about the extremely cold FL weather:cry:

I am sorry you had bad weather for your trip! That is a bummer!:grumble: What happened has happened. Acknowledge it and know that you are back on your routine and it will get better. Most of the gain is probably water weight. So drink your water (as ironic as that sounds) and just keep track of your foods and get that exercise in! You will be fine!

The good new is when you finish drinking all your 64+ oz of water today, you will pee out 50% of all that freakin sodium!!

I bet you lose 5 pounds this week if you avoid salt and sodium and drink only water.

sorry your vaca went so wrong!

But, did you enjoy being with your family? Dont fret the weight thing, think about family and love and before you know it you will be back down those 7 pounds!
