    Support is definitely great to get from others who are trying to do the same thing you are. Being honest is also very helpful, because some of us need that.

    I expect or at least would like.....support, encouragement and helpful tips and pointers. So far all of my MFP pals have met those and also make me laugh and are with me during the bad times I have had recently!!! MFP friends are AWESOME!!!

    I don't have expectations. I very carefully choose my friends and am grateful for all of them, simply because they are themselves. They are clever, witty and absolutely lovely people.

    I only recently added a few friends that were doing a same challenge. I can't really say I expect anything from them. I guess I'm just not much of an online "friends with strangers" person. Or maybe it's just that I have a really supportive family, but I don't really 'get' the MFP friend thing.

    Mine are split into two groups, though I have a few that roam back and forth.

    Group 1 - Awesome diaries, exercise logs, encouragement, motivation
    Group 2 - snarky, funny, make me laugh, call me on my BS

    The best ones are the those that do both.
