    Hey everyone !!

Waaay too cold to go for our run this AM.
    In the 20's - Brrr.
Really pretty though so we will head out this afternoon when it's in the 40's.

    Keep pushing forward...

Managed to squeeze it in this afternoon.
NEED new shoes - my feet, knees, and lower back were killing me.
Going to have to make a trip to the city over the weekend.
    I can't stand the discomfort.

Sorry you didn't feel very good.
CONGRATS on getting it knocked out anyway! That is really something when you can do it even when you just don't feel like it.
You are an official C25K GRADUATE!! Yippeeee
  • I wasn't sure how we would do today for our final day of C25K.
We didn't have a good run on Wednesday.
    I desperately need new shoes.
We worked out hard yesterday with a new Cardio Hip Hop DVD & a long brisk walk ( 1hr and 48 mins ).
My legs and lower back were humming ( not a happy tune either ) last night.
I decided to lay flat on my back on the floor while we watched some tv as a family and try and let my muscles relax.
I did sleep well when I finally made it to bed....so there is that.

Up and at 'em this morning but it was chilly out. We layered up and headed out. Very pretty day but cold enough to bite a little and see our breath.
We warmed up briskly walking uphill into town. A good chunk of our route( about 7mins worth ) is closed for road work so we cut through the ball fields and once on the flat, we took off.
We took our time and kept pushing through and before long we were cruising along and looping back towards home and we were done.
Our cool down and stretching felt good and we had done it.
    Official C25K GRADUATES!!!
    YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Hey everybody, congratulations on your graduation!!! =0)

I only ran one day this week. =( But I am not giving up hope, just going to need to take it slow in the next couple of weeks. Although I have not been running, I have been doing other exercises, like step or Zumba. The reason for that is that when I do have the time to exercise it is usually dark outside already and I just don't feel comfortable running out there at night. And it seems easier just to be able to do the other exercises at home than to drive to the gym.

The other reason is that my new job has been keeping my plenty busy and finals are coming up at school. But I have two more weeks of school and then it is over. I don't think I'll be going back in the spring so I will have the time to concentrate on more running.

Althoug I still don't LOVE running I don't despise it like before this program. This program has allowed me to amaze myself at my accomplishments. I ran two miles... nonstop. That is way beyond my wildest dreams!!! I love how my body is changing from running as well, not to mention the increased lung capacity I have. This was demonstrated today when i did one hour of step, with a riser, and did not feel like I was going to die once. Another first for me.

I am going to continue running as time allows. Not sure if I'll move onto the c210k for now, but I will definitely be doing the 30 minute runs when I have a chance.

Keep it up, y'all. I will check in on the c210k boards with you. Who knows, I might do it as well. ;)

Lastly, thank all of YOU for the support! I know for 100% that I would not get to this last week without our group!!!
