i would definitely say eat something. that's a pretty big deficit below 1200. its probably too late to eat all of it. i would try and drink a glass of milk or pop a few nuts. if you ate 500 calories right before bed, you probably wouldn't be able to fall asleep.

I always always always eat right before bed. Why not? I sleep fine, thanks! can you make a smoothie with some nuts or a peanut butter banana sandwich with some milk? Or chocolate milk?

    Deficit bad. Food good.

It might be a good idea to plan your meals in the mornings or the night before, including your planned exercise. That way you can eat properly through-out the day and not be stuck at the end with a bunch of calories. If you're eating more consistently through-out the day it will probably also help boost your metabolism so that you burn more calories.

I'm at a loss how you can eat 600 calories in a day and not be starving, physically as well as nutritionally. Are you making sure to get enough protien and good fats?

I had the same problem yesterday. It was 6pm and I still had almost 800 calories to go! Yikes! I ate most of it since I didn't want to be under 1200 but then I had a heck of a time sleeping. I need to start planning a bit better to spread the calories througout the day. But, hey, every day is a learning experience, right? Have a good day all!

I sometimes end up short..usually nuts can easily fill the gap...if not I just try better the next day and add extra servings of lentils to my plate. I try not to force myself to eat just because I have extra calories...expecially when Im not hungry or craving.
