Everything in moderation... :drinker:

Drink it if you must, just be smart with it.0 -
Diet Dr. Pepper is MY FAV too! But I cannot get it where i live0

It's a treat, for me...just like peanut m&m's! I have trained my body to crave water rather than soda; however when it is hot outside there is something about that large Sonic 1/2 price drink of coke zero w/ a wedge of lime!0

I'm trying to cut the diet soda. I used to be on 3 cans a day (sometimes still give in on a bad day) but I must admit, it's what helped me lose weight. Sugar cravings disappeared and it made me feel full after dinner. Sometimes I need that sugar(free) carbonation.
My name is Andrea and I'm a Pepsi-Max-a-holic.0 -
PS. They definitely DO NOT count for your water consuption. Actually you should up your water intake if you drink a soda that day, it will help
Completely wrong.
Tea/Coffee/Soda/Diet soda/Milk/juice etc all count towards your daily fluid intake, The caffeine effect is far, far outweighed by the actual water in the drink.

As for coffee being a diuretic, so many people just spout that word as a reason, without actually understanding what "diuretic" means.
di·u·ret·ic (d-rtk)
adj.
Tending to increase the discharge of urine.
n.
A substance or drug that tends to increase the discharge of urine.
Neat water is also a diuretic. The diuretic effect of caffeine is far, far outweighed by the actual water in the tea/coffee. Also, regular consumers of caffeinated beverages will build up a tolerance to said effect, eventually reaching the point where caffeinated drinks provide practically the same amount of hydration as a cup of neat water will.

I'm so glad that someone posted this!!! i'm so sick of people saying 'you have to drink a cup of water to compensate every cup of coffee you drink' it is a really popular misconception though!0 -

Drink them every once in a while. I would not do everyday, but if you really need a soda with a certain food you are eating. Ex. Fish is not good with water so I drink a pepsi maxx. Awesome dude!!!!!!!!!!!!0
