I think the impact of jumping jacks or jump rope has hurt my foot it is sore accross the whole side of my foot it started to hurt bad last night so I elevated it when I woke this morning to do 30day shred it was killig so I took a pain killer and went back to bed it is ok to walk on I have just managed to do 30 day shred level 2 but when I went to my cardio which involves jump rope elliptical and running up and down stairs I really couldnt do jump rope it hurt bad and even the elliptical hurts it now I need to work out. Any advice please????

I was thinking a bike ride later may be low impact enough it is my rest day tomorrow just need to get 30 mins cardo in today AAAAArrrgg.

  • Hi Tazzy,

how do you do the jumping jacks, ect.? Barefoot by any chance?

I used to have strong pains in my foot on the side just like you describe, when I used to do my exercises at home barefoot. I would put more weight on my foot towards it side when jumping up and down, which hurt the bones in that area of my foot. Since I wear my trainers at all times when exercising though I dont have these pains anymore. I would give your foot a rest from jumping jacks and skipping rope for a couple of days, anything with high impact. Im sure cycling would be ok. And once your foot feels better dont do anything without wearing the trainers anymore. if the pain stays, I would definitely recommend you see a doctor.

    I hope this helps. :flowerforyou:

Thats the thing I always where my trainers as I have wood floor so it is to slippy without and this is week three of this routine I wonder if I have overdone it a bit. Gonna go out on the bike later if it stays dry if not I'll go to my mothers she has an exercise bike
