Indoor aerobics, help!

Alright, with the weather turning to torrential rain, it is not very practical to go and walk everyday, particularly since I have no rain gear for exercising. So, since I don't want to work out in the rain without decent gear I thought getting myself a jump rope would be a good idea. Haha, jokes on me. I was told no to the jump rope by the homeowner (my dad), saying the floor is too weak to withstand the pressure and weight that would be applied by any exercise of that nature. This means nothing like DDR or other activities like that either. Now, I know the floor is not that strong. It was a cheap, crappy floor put in by the people who make manufactured homes and my dad has had to patch the floor in a couple other places because of a person half my size jumping around.
Now, since I am not allowed to do any aerobic activity that could break the floor, I am looking for ideas of what I can do. I cannot afford a gym membership, at least not right now. I have no DVDs and can't really afford them, and it is too difficult to try anything while looking at the monitor of my computer. Now, does anyone have any ideas for indoor aerobics that won't put holes in the floor?

My husband and I do kick boxing training with each other. Hand wraps are about $5 for a pair, and you can get a standing bag if you wish. I burn almost 1000 calories in 45 minutes of doing it, though I use my husband as my target (he has focus mitts). It's a great workout.0

What about yoga/ pilates? You might be able to get a book/ DVD from your local library/ thrift store/ ebay/ borrow one from someone you know. They're low impact strength building activities (and yoga is very relaxing!).
Or learn some moves to do with weights and use cans or bottles of soda.0 -
I think there are a lot of good exercise videos that you could a) get from the library b) get on Netflix if you have it c) borrow from a friend. Also in my area we have community centers that do workout classes, you could see if you have anything like that nearby. If they cost anything at all it's usually very cheap. I don't know if you can have weights on the floor, but that may be an option as well.0

Thanks for the posts! I need to find a way to connect my computer to my tv, since my monitor isn't big enough to see while trying to work out. I just need a couple cables for it. I have a couple 5 lb weights I can use, as well as a couple 10 lb weights. I have a weight machine I use, but that is more for strength building rather than aerobic activity. I will try to YouTube a few things as well as Netflix and see if I can find DVDs for cheap. Have 125 lbs to lose still and trying to build up stamina so I can do a 4 mile jog. Just weather does not really permit it at the moment.0
