Logging P90x Calorie burn

I need to know how much each work out can burn?

I am eating right, taking my protein shakes, and keeping a journal, and I hope to see a difference.
I have lost plenty of inches and two dress sizes since deplying....

I am on day two of P90x lean, and I know its a great work out.
Here in Afghanistan, I've had plenty of fellow soldiers try it, and love it. I have completed Insanity twice, ran marathons and work out regularly....but need a new challenge, so P90X it is! :)


Any general insight to what the work outs can burn will be helpful to keep track of my daily calorie burn/ and calorie intake.

  • depends a lot on your weight & intensity level & other factors ,but for me plyometrics i burn 550-650 but i weigh 177 pounds & a male , my daughter is 100 pounds & burns like 325 , core for me is 450-500 , 250-300 her , cardio 400-450 , her 225-250 , i've seen others log as many as 900 from plyo , so there's a wide range , if you could get a heart rate monitor that would help you lots ,

    I would wear a heart rate monitor so you can get the true calorie burn!! I recommend a polar or garmin HRM. They can be a little pricey but they are both great products!! Good luck with P90X!!:wink:
