Hello Everyone!
Please can you post ideas for healthy snacks that I could eat mid morning / afternoon that can be eaten discreetly? I don't like snacking on nuts as they are so moreish and far too many calories I could have eaten a meal!
I look forward to your ideas :flowerforyou:

Bacon.
Just cut it up into bite size pieces. No one will ever know!0 -
Sorry I should have mentioned that by discreet I meant that I am not supposed to eat in the office but can sneak things like crisps etc. Low fat popcorn sounds good. I am going to investigate :happy:0

Discreet is tough...but I love string cheese. Polly-O makes some 2% mozzarrella that is only 70 cals. And they also make a pepper jack that is different from typical string cheese.
Are you allowed to drink? When I have very little caloric room, I like African Roobois (sp) tea with just a little agave nectar. Very tasty treat and holds me over for very little cals.0 -
indiana black in white kettle corn popcorn...natural, ,low fat. and its ammmmmazzzzing0

If you can't eat but are allowed to drink I like Spearmint herbal tea with local all-natural honey...and pre-made all fruit smoothies-just watch your portion size but if you check out the nutrition label some of them are like eating fruit but your drinking it instead and you can add protein powder if you like. Good Luck!!0

I always have a snack during my mid-morning classes, so I am the queen of secret snacking. Some ideas:
-Nuts!! They are super filling. I love pistachios, but cracking them open isn't kind of noisy (although I've done it in class.. whoops, haha) ... but you can try getting the pre-shelled ones. Almonds are also great.
-Fruit... cut up some berries and put them in a tupperware in the morning.. they don't make much noise and you can keep the tupperware somewhere discreet as you munch on them.
-FiberOne bar or SpecialK Protein Bar. Easy and also easy to hide.0 -
chopped melon is a discreet one, no crunch noises and no strong smell (like egg whites, which is what i eat when i get hungry in the office, really helps fill me up for next to no cals (often I have a half piece of bread with it with flora extra light, pre-spread at home) - trouble is, it stinks, as i boil them fresh every morning and peel the shell off at work in a plastic bag, still the smell escapes and my colleague sometimes comes over to ask me if i have just had my daily egg feast as she can smell it haha! i think you can peel them and cool them in water before putting them in the fridge and that'd help eliminate the suphuric smell, though i have yet to try that technique)0
